About Dave & mrs.izzy

Dave - the technical one
Dave has over 30 years of experience with woodworking, and carpentry. His grandfather made custom furniture as gifts and to sell to local businesses. His father made most of the cabinetry in Dave's boyhood home and made multiple additions over time. As a boy Dave help with projects aroung the house and of course whittled like most kids but didn't try woodcarving as a hobby until recently. Dave has a degree in Engineering and is an avid reader and gamer.


mrs.izzy - in for the ride
Mrs. Izzy is a 30-something stay-at-home mom of 4 young children. She doesn't like doing housework so sometimes she chooses to ignore them to take up different hobbies in the name of sanity. Mrs. Izzy and Dave have been married to for 14 years. She has taken up crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, playing guitar, and the latest is wood carving. Mrs. Izzy and Dave started wood carving together in June 2011 and are enjoying themselves very much. 


Our Family
There are 4 little monkeys in the household that must be taken care of; a 6 yr-old boy who just started 1st grade, 4 yr-old identical twin girls, and a very busy 17-mos old boy. How do Dave and mrs.izzy find time to carve? They do it after the kids have gone to bed.
